Mission

Founders and contributors

Dr. Mai Thai and her husband Dr. Nguyen Pham established the NguyenMai scholarship program because they have heartfelt understanding for serious talented students who may be denied of good education due to financial difficulties. To date, they have been the main contributors of NguyenMai scholarships.

Scholarships

Each scholarship amount will vary depending on the recipient's financial needs and the availability of funds. Some scholarships cover tuition only while others cover tuition plus allowances for room and board. NguyenMai scholarships may be renewable on a yearly basis provided that the recipients maintain their good academic standing.

Eligibility

We wish to support all students in need but because of limited availability of funds, we now offer scholarships to Vietnamese students only. Students from other countries will be considered when more funds are made available.

If you are Vietnamese and satisfy these criteria, you may apply for NguyenMai Scholarship:

- Be admitted to an accredited university in Vietnam,
- Have financial difficulty to pursue your educational plan,
- Have clear career goal,
- Demonstrate strong motivation for higher education,
- Maintain good academic performance.

How to apply

Fill in the NguyenMai Scholarship application form by hand (printout or typewritten versions are not accepted) and send a scanned copy to us by email before sending it by post. There is no deadline for your application but expect that it will take 6 months from the date of your application to the date of your first scholarship remittance if your application is successful.
